This grape owes its name to a peculiarity linked to its berries, which when fully ripe release drops of grape juice that fall to the ground. Lacrima wines are very aromatic and richly flavored, showing intense floral and spiced characters on the nose with a fresh, berry-dominated palate

The soil is slightly sandy, with good clay, originating from lateral Moorish deposits following the disintegration of the local porphids, favouring a natural advance of ripening of the grapes.
On the nose: Scents of forest fruit accompanied by hints of star anise, cocoa and tobacco. Allowing for further ageing, the wine will enhance with aromas reminiscent of violet, some lilac and even sage.
