Tűske Rozé
£18.50 – £111.00
A light and vivacious rosé from a high-altitude, windy plateau-like vineyard in the Szekszard region of southern Hungary. A blend of the local grape kekfrankos, along with merlot and pinot noir, it’s made using the “saignee” method. This involves “bleeding” the wine off from the skins after a very short period of contact, giving the soft rosé colour.
On the nose: An explosive scent of citrus fruits and fresh crushed strawberries, cherries and blood orange. On the palate: Light bodied and elegant, with great balance of quenching acidity to the full flavour of fresh red fruits.Recommended combination with food: Perfect with chicken nicoise salad, salmon, charcuterie board, feta, spinach, or mint and quinoa tartlettes.
