Szeremley, Kéknyelű
£22.99 – £137.00
Grown exclusively on the volcanic slopes of Mount Badacsony, the Kéknyelű (Blue Stem) is unique. This female-flowering grape gives naturally low yields and a creamy wine with discreet power, concentration and finesse, great length of flavour and exceptional ageing potential. Kéknyelű, meaning ’blue stalk’ and named after the slightly blue tint of its petiole, was once the darling of Badacsony, the small wine region on the northern shores of Lake Balaton.
On the nose: A explosion of citrus, apricot and peaches On the palate: Medium body, with a distinct woody flavour and oily feel, with notes of honey to finish.Recommended combination with food: The perfect match for noble white fish like perch, pike, sole. lobster and even goat cheese.
