A noble and important wine produced since 1985, it has risen to the highest podiums in the world. The grapes Montepulciano and Sangiovese are harvested by hand, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for 24 months and then stored in small oak barrels for at least 12 months followed by additional long aging in bottle.
This wine has won multiple awards over the years, since first production.On the nose: Intense and persistent, with fruity notes of ripe fruit and marasca cherry jam , floral with hints of withered red petals and flowers and light vegetal expressions. With aging, subtle ethereal notes of vanilla and licorice wood take over On the palate: Medium to full-bodied, dry, soft, quite fresh, tannic, with subtle and persistent taste-olfactory notes of ripe red fruit, sweet spices with a hint of tar.
Recommended combination with food: First courses with meat sauce and game . Beef, pork, lamb cooked with sauces, flavored with garlic, rosemary and truffle, stuffed feathered game, aged cheeses also aged with herbs
